Islamabad — The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) successfully foiled two major attempts of illegal human smuggling through sea routes from Pakistan to Iran, arresting a total of 84 suspects in separate operations.

In the first operation, FIA Balochistan Zone apprehended 60 individuals attempting to illegally cross into Iran from Jiwani. Among the arrested were 19 from Malakand, 16 from Bannu, 9 each from Gujranwala and Lower Dir, 3 from Upper Dir, and 2 from Mardan. Four cases have been registered, and investigations are underway.

In a separate action, FIA Composite Circle Gwadar arrested 24 individuals also from Jiwani while they were attempting to illegally travel to Iran. The detainees included 11 from Gujranwala, 7 from Hafizabad, and 6 from Sheikhupura. Initial investigations revealed that the suspects intended to proceed from Iran to other countries illegally.

The FIA has registered cases against all arrested suspects and launched further investigations to dismantle the networks involved in these human smuggling attempts.
