NCCIA Releases Performance Report Since Inception

Islamabad – The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), established on April 4, 2025, has achieved significant progress in a short span of time, according to its recently released performance report.

Deputy Director of Operations, Mr. Muhammad Usman, revealed that between April and July 2025, the agency received 50,563 cybercrime complaints. Out of these:

7,247 complaints were formally taken up for investigation

457 First Information Reports (FIRs) were registered

690 suspects were arrested

22 convictions were secured in courts

Mr.Muhammad Usman stated that under the banner of “Operation Grey,” robust actions were taken against foreign elements operating cybercrime networks under the guise of international call centers. These operations led to the recovery of millions of rupees.

The most reported crimes included financial fraud, blackmail, harassment, and hacking.

Currently, 14 NCCIA regional circles are actively engaged in investigations, empowered by modern technology and a trained workforce, which has significantly enhanced the speed and efficiency of case resolution.

The agency has urged the public to report cybercrimes promptly via the nearest circle office or helpline to ensure swift action. Awareness and protection measures will be further intensified to combat the evolving landscape of cyber threats.
