Tajikistan has been ranked the second safest country globally in Gallup’s Global Safety Report 2025. The survey, covering 142 countries, found that 95% of Tajik citizens feel safe walking alone at night.

Singapore topped the list with 98%, followed by Tajikistan (95%), China and Oman (94% each), Saudi Arabia (93%), Kuwait and Norway (91% each), and Bahrain and the UAE (90% each).

Officials in Dushanbe say the ranking reflects the policies of President Emomali Rahmon, crediting his leadership for ensuring peace, stability, and public trust across the country.

Tajikistan has consistently appeared among the world’s top ten safest nations and has ranked first on five occasions since 2010, reinforcing its reputation as a secure and stable state.
