Rawalpindi, Chinese Foreign Minister H.E. Wang Yi met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in Islamabad on Friday, underscoring the depth of Pakistan-China strategic relations.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed regional security, counter-terrorism, and issues of mutual interest. Both leaders reiterated their resolve to further strengthen the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and enhance coordination on regional and international platforms.
Wang Yi reaffirmed China’s firm support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and development, stressing that Beijing would continue to stand by Islamabad in the face of evolving challenges.
COAS Asim Munir expressed appreciation for China’s consistent support, highlighting the importance of the partnership in advancing peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen cooperation and uphold their role as key stakeholders in regional stability.
