Islamabad, A three days long (09-11Jan 2023) Khalti winter sports festival Ghizer commenced on 09 Jan 2023 under the umbrella of (Seven Days Winter Fest).

Event is being organised near Natural Frozen Khalti lake an international and national tourists attraction, by District Administration Ghizer, Tourism Department and Khalti Local Community.

Being Calendar year event of GB, event is being celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Total 13 Ice Hockey Teams are participating from the District Ghizer in the event. Ten teams are of male while 03 female teams are also participating.

Due to Climate changes and because of precautionary/ safety measures, event is being held on man-made Ice hockey ground which has been developed for the first time at Khalti Ghizer after due efforts of Khalti Local Community, Tourism Department and District Administration Ghizer.

In opening ceremony, Mr Ghulam Muhammad, Member GBA, Col Amjad Wali, President Winter Sports Association, District Administration and large no of spectators participated.
Despite of the Harsh weather at Khalti Forzen Lake, large no of people witnessed the Ice hockey matches.

Finale of the tournament will be played on 11 Jan 2023.Event will also cover various indigenous games and Winter Sports events.
