Rawalpindi – According to security sources, Afghan Taliban and Fitanah Al-Khawarij launched attacks at three locations early this morning.
The Pakistan Army’s effective counter-operations forced these Afghan Taliban militants to retreat, security sources said.
Security sources added that Afghan Taliban and Fitanah Al-Khawarij terrorists are using villages and innocent civilians as human shields.
According to received information, 15 to 20 Afghan Taliban militants have been killed, security sources confirmed.
The terrorists from Afghan Taliban and Fitanah Al-Khawarij blew up the Pakistan-Afghanistan Friendship Gate on their side, security sources reported.
The destruction of the gate proves that Afghan Taliban are not supporters of trade and local movement, according to security sources.
The Pakistan Army also foiled an attempted attack by Fitanah Al-Khawarij and Afghan Taliban last night in the Kurram sector, security sources said.
During counterattacks in the Kurram sector, eight Taliban posts and six tanks along with personnel were destroyed, security sources revealed.
The Pakistan Army killed several terrorists in the Kurram sector and also seized US-made weapons, security sources added.
Following the decisive response by the Pakistan Army, the Kurram sector is currently calm, security sources confirmed.
Security sources report receiving information about further gatherings of Afghan Taliban and Fitanah Al-Khawarij in Spin Boldak.
