Islamabad, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Mr. Rosan Roeslani, Indonesian Minister for Investment and Downstream Industry and CEO of Indonesia’s Sovereign Wealth Fund (Danantara), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today.
The delegation-level talks focused on enhancing Pakistan-Indonesia economic and investment cooperation, exploring potential collaboration opportunities, and discussing mutually beneficial projects. Key topics included exchange of best practices, cooperation in priority sectors such as health, and sovereign wealth fund models, reaffirming trade and investment as a cornerstone of bilateral relations.
Presentations by the Ministry of Finance, Board of Investment (BOI), and Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) highlighted Pakistan’s investment landscape, priority sectors, and facilitation mechanisms, while Indonesian counterparts shared insights on downstream investments and sovereign wealth fund structures.
Senator Dar emphasized that mutual investment would act as a catalyst for the longstanding Pakistan-Indonesia partnership. The meeting was attended by the Minister for Health, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Chairman BOI, National Coordinator SIFC, Secretary Finance, Acting Foreign Secretary, and other senior officials
