Islamabad – U.S. Ambassador Natalie Baker called on Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at the Ministry of Interior. The meeting included discussions on the prevailing situation in the Middle East, and both sides welcomed the positive step of a ceasefire in the region. Pakistan’s strong diplomatic role in this regard was appreciated.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the high-level talks scheduled to take place in Islamabad tomorrow. Detailed discussions were held regarding the arrangements for these talks.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner will be special guests. He added that a comprehensive plan has been devised to ensure foolproof security for all foreign guests.
The U.S. Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s sincere and constructive role.
