Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday strongly rejected recent remarks made by the Indian Chief of Army Staff, describing them as provocative, irresponsible and reflective of a “delusional mindset.”
In a statement, ISPR said Pakistan is a globally significant country, a declared nuclear power and an inseparable part of South Asia’s geography and history. It stated that the Indian leadership has failed to accept the reality of Pakistan even after decades.
The military’s media wing criticized what it called India’s “hubristic and jingoistic mindset,” saying such thinking has repeatedly pushed the region towards wars and crises.
ISPR said threatening a sovereign nuclear state with elimination from “geography” was not strategic signalling but “madness and warmongering,” warning that any such conflict would have devastating and mutual consequences for the entire region.
The statement also accused India of sponsoring terrorism, spreading disinformation and destabilizing the region through aggressive policies. According to ISPR, India’s recent posture reflects frustration over its inability to weaken Pakistan.
The military spokesperson urged India to adopt peaceful coexistence and avoid actions that could trigger another regional crisis, warning that any aggression against Pakistan would lead to consequences extending beyond geographical boundaries.
