Rawalpindi, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Upon arrival, the Libyan military leader was presented with a Guard of Honour by a tri-services contingent.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security developments, defence cooperation, and ways to enhance military-to-military collaboration. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral defence ties and expanding cooperation in professional military training and security-related fields.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and constructive engagement with friendly countries. The visiting dignitary commended the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace and security.
