Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad Zone has uncovered an alleged illegal human placenta processing and export network during a major late-night operation in the federal capital.

Acting on credible intelligence, FIA officials raided a house in Sector F-7, Islamabad, where they discovered a fully functional facility allegedly being used for the illegal processing and drying of human placenta.

According to investigators, the processed material was being prepared for export to Vietnam under the name “She Placenta.”

During the operation, five suspects were arrested, including three Chinese nationals and two Pakistani nationals.

Based on information obtained during the investigation, FIA teams conducted a second raid at another location in the F-7/E-11 area of Islamabad, where a similar processing center was found operating.

Authorities seized processing equipment along with a quantity of processed material from both sites.

A case has been registered against the suspects under relevant provisions of the Human Organs and Tissues Transplantation Act (HOTA) 2010, while further investigations are ongoing to determine the full scope of the network and its international links.
