Samarkand to Host International Sister Cities Forum on July 24–25

Samarkand, Uzbekistan: Samarkand will host the International Sister Cities Forum on July 24–25, 2026, bringing together representatives from cities across the world to strengthen international partnerships and expand municipal cooperation.

The forum is expected to serve as a major platform for dialogue, supporting Uzbekistan’s efforts to enhance international collaboration, strengthen ties between sister cities, and promote public diplomacy.

The program includes an international scientific and practical conference focused on expanding cooperation between Uzbek and foreign cities, as well as panel discussions and roundtable sessions covering a wide range of sectors.

The event will also feature the signing of memorandums of cooperation and partnership agreements between sister cities, along with presentations highlighting public diplomacy initiatives and interregional cooperation.

Foreign delegations will take part in cultural and educational activities, guided tours of Samarkand’s historic and cultural landmarks, and exhibitions showcasing the investment, tourism, and cultural potential of Uzbekistan’s regions.
