Islamabad, Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Ambassador of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), held a meeting with the Ambassador of Rwanda in Pakistan, during which matters relating to strengthening bilateral economic and investment ties between Pakistan and Rwanda were discussed.
During the meeting, Ms. Misbah Khar was invited to participate in the Rwanda–Pakistan Investment Forum, scheduled to be held from 23–25 September 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, under the auspices of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) and the Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan.
Ms. Misbah Khar welcomed the invitation and expressed her willingness to participate in the forum. She will lead a Pakistani business delegation to Rwanda, with the objective of exploring new opportunities for trade, investment and business-to-business cooperation between the two countries.
She said that such initiatives provide an important platform for Pakistani businesses and investors to explore Rwanda’s growing economic potential while also promoting greater bilateral cooperation and strengthening people-to-people and business-to-business linkages.
The Rwanda–Pakistan Investment Forum is expected to bring together business leaders, investors and relevant stakeholders from both countries to explore investment opportunities, partnerships and avenues for enhanced economic cooperation.
Ms. Misbah Khar expressed hope that her participation and the business delegation would contribute towards further strengthening the economic and commercial relationship between Pakistan and Rwanda.
