Quetta, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces (COAS & CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, visited Quetta Garrison and held interactions with commanders and commanding officers of field formations, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Upon his arrival in Quetta, the COAS & CDF was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir was given a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security environment in Balochistan, the operational preparedness of field formations and ongoing measures aimed at maintaining peace and stability across the province.
The briefing also covered matters related to institutional coordination and support for the socio-economic development of Balochistan. The army chief reviewed efforts aimed at strengthening coordination among state institutions to support peace, stability and development in the province.
Field Marshal Asim Munir appreciated the high standards of professionalism, operational readiness and selfless commitment demonstrated by officers and troops serving in Balochistan.
He underscored the importance of continued coordination among law enforcement agencies and other state institutions to consolidate peace and maintain an environment conducive to sustained economic activity and development.
The COAS & CDF reaffirmed that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan remain central to the state’s efforts. He emphasised that a stable and secure environment would continue to facilitate development initiatives, create economic opportunities and improve prospects for the people of the province.
During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also paid rich tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs and lauded the steadfast dedication of officers and troops in the discharge of their duties.
The visit comes as security and stability in Balochistan remain a key focus of state institutions, with continued emphasis on operational preparedness, inter-agency coordination and creating conditions conducive to socio-economic development.
