RAWALPINDI, Pakistan Security Forces have killed more than 71 terrorists in operations across Balochistan during the past 96 hours, including 33 Indian-sponsored terrorists in Operation Shaban in District Quetta, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

ISPR said intelligence agencies had identified multiple hideouts of Indian-sponsored Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan in the Shaban area, posing a threat to the local population. Acting on credible intelligence, Security Forces launched an operation in Ziarat and surrounding areas on September 21.

During Operation Shaban, troops engaged terrorists and cleared several hideouts. Intense exchanges of fire resulted in the killing of 33 terrorists, while weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered.

The operation was intensified over the last 72 hours, during which 23 terrorists were killed. Security Forces have cleared a vast area and are continuing clearance operations until complete neutralisation of the threat.

In separate intelligence-based operations on September 25, Security Forces killed 11 Indian-sponsored terrorists in District Nushki after engaging a terrorist hideout. In Mand, six Fitna Al-Hindustan terrorists were also neutralised, with a large quantity of weapons and ammunition recovered.

ISPR said the operations have dealt a serious blow to Indian-backed Afghan proxies.

The counter-terrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, will continue with full resolve. Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
