Quetta, Syed Asim Munir visited Quetta Garrison on Monday, where he addressed officers at the Command and Staff College Quetta and reiterated the armed forces’ resolve to eliminate terrorism and maintain peace and stability in Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff appreciated the institution’s high standards of training, professionalism and intellectual excellence, describing the college as a hallmark of military education in Pakistan.
Addressing student officers and faculty members, Field Marshal Asim Munir highlighted the rapidly evolving nature of modern warfare and stressed the need to remain updated on emerging technologies, multi-domain operations and tri-services coordination. He urged officers to continuously enhance their professional capabilities and prepare their troops to effectively respond to future battlefield challenges.
Later, the army chief interacted with officers and troops deployed in Balochistan and reviewed the prevailing security environment in the province. He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces, with the support of the people, remain fully committed to eradicating terrorism in all its forms.
The field marshal said Pakistan’s progress could not be hindered through propaganda, fake news or externally sponsored terrorism, adding that hostile elements attempting to destabilize the country through proxies would ultimately fail due to the resilience of the state and unity of the nation.
Emphasizing the importance of long-term peace in Balochistan, he said sustainable stability depends on a people-centric approach, inclusive development and improved governance alongside security measures. He also appreciated the efforts of the provincial government aimed at socio-economic development and strengthening public trust.
The army chief commended the morale, operational preparedness and professional commitment of officers and troops serving in the province.
Earlier, upon arrival in Quetta, the field marshal was received by the Commander Quetta Corps.
