Islamabad, The foreign ministers of Pakistan, Türkiye, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Jordan, Libya, Maldives, and Spain have jointly condemned what they described as renewed Israeli assaults on the Global Sumud Flotilla, a civilian humanitarian initiative aimed at highlighting the humanitarian crisis faced by Palestinians.

In a joint statement issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the participating countries expressed “strongest condemnation” over attacks targeting civilian vessels and humanitarian activists associated with the flotilla.

The ministers voiced grave concern over what they termed repeated Israeli interventions against humanitarian flotillas in international waters, stating that such actions, including attacks on vessels and the detention of activists, constitute clear violations of international law and international humanitarian law.

The statement also raised concerns regarding the safety and security of civilian participants aboard the flotilla and called for the immediate release of all detained activists while demanding full respect for their rights and dignity.

The foreign ministers further stressed that continued attacks on peaceful humanitarian initiatives demonstrate disregard for international law and freedom of navigation. They urged the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by protecting civilians and humanitarian missions and by taking concrete steps to ensure accountability and end impunity for such violations.
