Rawalpindi, Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Rodolphe Haykal, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
Upon his arrival at GHQ, General Haykal was presented a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent.
During the meeting, the two military leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, the evolving regional security environment, defence cooperation, and opportunities to further strengthen bilateral military relations. The talks focused on enhancing professional exchanges, training cooperation, and institutional linkages between the armed forces of Pakistan and Lebanon.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attaches to its longstanding and cordial relations with Lebanon and reiterated the Pakistan Army’s commitment to expanding defence collaboration with the Lebanese Armed Forces.
General Rodolphe Haykal praised the professionalism and operational excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their contributions to regional peace, stability, and international peacekeeping missions.
According to ISPR, the visit reflects the shared commitment of both countries’ armed forces to deepening military-to-military cooperation and strengthening defence ties.
