Pakistan, Ghana Explore Enhanced Defence Production Cooperation

Rawalpindi, A high-level defence delegation from Ghana, led by National Security Coordinator Mr. Abdul-Razak Osman and accompanied by Chief of Defence Staff Lt Gen William Agyapong, visited the Ministry of Defence Production in Rawalpindi on 16 June 2026.

Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by officials of the Ministry of Defence Production of Pakistan. Both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and exploring new areas of mutual interest.

The visit focused on expanding defence-industrial collaboration between the two countries, with an emphasis on long-term strategic engagement and partnership in the defence sector.

During the visit, the Ghanaian delegation toured various defence production facilities and affiliated organizations to gain first-hand insight into Pakistan’s defence manufacturing capabilities and industrial infrastructure.

The discussions covered key areas including defence production cooperation, technology transfer, capacity building, and industrial partnerships aimed at enhancing mutual benefit.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening defence ties and further expanding cooperation in the coming years, particularly in the field of defence production and industrial development.
