Islamabad Police Finalizes Comprehensive Security Plan for Muharram

Islamabad: Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has said that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared for processions and religious gatherings during Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to the police spokesperson, foolproof security arrangements will be ensured at all costs during the holy month. The IG Islamabad will personally monitor all security operations.

A central control room has been established at the Safe City Islamabad system, where all processions and gatherings will be monitored through surveillance cameras.

Strict arrangements for checking, parking, and lighting will be implemented outside Imambargahs, while an effective patrolling system will be ensured in surrounding areas.

Modern technology will also be used to strengthen security during processions and gatherings. All senior officers will personally supervise security arrangements at Imambargahs, processions, and majalis.

The IG stated that maintaining law and order and protecting the lives and property of citizens remains the top priority. Surveillance at sensitive locations will be further strengthened, and security measures will be tightened.

A dedicated security and traffic plan is being implemented along procession and gathering routes. Full coordination will be maintained with all relevant agencies.

Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi warned that no negligence or carelessness will be tolerated. He added that citizens will be provided with the best possible facilities and a safe environment during Muharram.

Islamabad Police will utilize all available resources to ensure peace and security, with officers remaining present in the field to continuously monitor arrangements.

Citizens have been urged to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police helpline.
