Islamabad- Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has promoted Lieutenant General Syed Aamer Raza, HI(M), SBt, Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of the Pakistan Army, to the rank of Four-Star General and appointed him as Commander National Strategic Command.
The appointment follows General Aamer Raza’s distinguished military career, which includes serving as Chief of the General Staff at General Headquarters (GHQ), Director General Weapons and Equipment, and Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT). His extensive experience in strategic planning, military operations, and defence technology is regarded as key to his new responsibilities.
Congratulating General Aamer Raza on his promotion and appointment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence in his leadership and wished him success in undertaking this important national responsibility.
