Karachi: PMSA has formally signed the landmark contract for installation of Vessel Monitoring System (VMS) onboard Pakistani Fishing Vessels at HQ PMSA Karachi on 1 Aug 26, making it a historical event towards maritime governance and ensuring maritime security in the Pakistan’s Maritime Zones and beyond. The project will have multifaceted benefits from ensuring safety and security of our fishermen to enhanced maritime domain awareness and sustainable exploitation of marine resources. Secretary Defence Lt General (Retd) Muhammad Ali graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The ceremony was attended by representatives from Federal and Provincial governments as well as important stakeholders from maritime sector.

The signing of VMS contract underscores PMSA’s firm resolve and capability to continuously adopt modern measures in safeguarding Pakistan’s maritime interests and protecting vital marine resources.
