Islamabad, Today, Federal Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari presided over a meeting aimed at transitioning Balochistan’s agricultural tube wells to solar energy.
The meeting was attended by Federal Secretary Power, Chief Secretary Balochistan, and other officials.
Minister Awais Leghari underscored the significant annual loss of 80 billion rupees incurred under the current system. He directed officials from the Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO) to provide detailed information regarding feeders dedicated to agricultural tube wells.
Expressing the government’s unwavering commitment, Minister Leghari announced plans for swift action to convert these tube wells to solar power. These plans will be crafted in consultation with all stakeholders, ensuring a sustainable and efficient energy solution for Balochistan’s agricultural sector.
