Islamabad: The Government of Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has taken notice of speculative reports circulating in sections of the media, particularly on social media, regarding alleged targeted deportations of Pakistani nationals from the brotherly Islamic country of the UAE.

According to the Ministry, after reviewing relevant details and data, it has become necessary to clarify that such reporting is “malafide” and part of a “vicious propaganda campaign” by vested interests.

The Ministry stated that no country-specific or sect-specific deportations from any country, including the UAE, are being carried out. It emphasized that deportations, where applicable, are part of routine procedures conducted in accordance with the host country’s laws, regulations, visa policies, overstay rules, and documentation requirements.

The statement further noted that Pakistani nationals who fulfill visa and employment requirements continue to travel to and obtain work visas for the UAE and other friendly countries without prejudice.

The Ministry described the fake news and misleading social media posts on the matter as “malicious and fabricated,” aimed at serving ulterior motives.

It also reiterated that any issue involving Pakistani nationals abroad is addressed on a case-to-case basis through established diplomatic and Foreign Office channels.
