Iran’s Ambassador Calls on Pakistan’s Defence Production Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Rawalpindi, H.E. Mr. Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, called on Federal Minister for Defence Production, Muhammad Raza Hayat Harraj, today in Rawalpindi. Matters of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in the field of defence production, were discussed during the meeting.

The Federal Minister welcomed the Ambassador and stated that “Pakistan highly values its fraternal ties with Iran and considers it a close friend and neighbor.” He further observed that the relations between the two countries are cordial and continue to strengthen with each passing day. The Minister emphasized the Government of Pakistan’s, and in particular the Ministry of Defence Production’s, determination to explore practical avenues for the further development of bilateral cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Iranian Ambassador assured the Federal Minister of his cooperation and reaffirmed that Iran is keen to further enhance relations with Pakistan. He highlighted Iran’s desire to expand economic ties with Pakistan alongside increasing regional cooperation, in a manner that would be mutually beneficial for the peoples of both countries.
