NADRA Presents Indigenous Identity Technologies at ID4Africa 2025, Secures Key International Collaborations

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has signed bilateral agreements with leading Chinese and Turkish firms during the ID4Africa 2025 Annual General Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. At the conference, NADRA presented its cutting-edge, indigenously developed technologies, highlighting biometric hardware assembled in Pakistan, dematerialized ID card, secure personal data vault and the enhanced Pak ID mobile application.

During the event, NADRA along with its commercial arm, NADRA Technologies Ltd. (NTL), signed multiple agreements to foster international collaboration in secure identity technologies. An agreement was made with Aratek, a leading Chinese biometric manufacturer, to enhance biometric solutions and expand market reach. Another agreement was signed with Austriacard Türkiye, a prominent Turkish technology firm, to collaborate on secure identity solutions and explore new technological advancements. NADRA also entered into an agreement with another Turkish technology partner to promote advancements in secure identity solutions.

His Excellency Berk Baran, Ambassador of Türkiye to Ethiopia and His Excellency Mr. Atif Mian, Ambassador of Pakistan to Ethiopia also honored the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony with their presence.

The ID4Africa 2025 conference, themed “Digital Identity at Scale,” serves as the premier platform for addressing Africa’s identity for development (ID4D) priorities. The event brings together key stakeholders, including African government officials, development agencies, industry innovators, and civil society.

NADRA pavilion attracted high-level dignitaries and delegations from countries including Ethiopia, Cameroon, Djibouti, South Sudan, Somalia, Kenya, Nigeria, Türkiye, and China, among others.
