Houston: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with US Congressman and a key member of the Financial Services Committee Alexander Green in Houston. During the meeting, they exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and the promotion of Pakistan-US relations.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi apprised Congressman Green on the details of cross-border infiltration and terrorism from Afghanistan. He expressed gratitude to Congressman Green for his support to affectees of earthquakes and floods in Pakistan.
Mohsin Naqvi also praised Congressman Green’s principled stance on the Palestine issue, saying that his strong voice for Palestine is commendable. He highlighted that Congressman Green’s stance on Palestine has received widespread acclaim.
The Interior Minister emphasized that relations between Pakistan and the US will further strengthen in the coming days.
Congressman Alexander Green stated that he will soon visit Pakistan again. He apprised that he has already visited Pakistan four times to express solidarity and provide aid to the people affected by earthquakes and floods.
The meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s Consul General in Houston, Muhammad Aftab Chaudhry, and Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed.
