Pakistan Army Inducts Z-10ME Attack Helicopter; COAS Stresses National Unity and Operational Readiness During Multan Visit ISPR

Rawalpindi – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Multan Garrison where he reviewed operational preparedness, interacted with civil society and academia, and presided over a landmark induction ceremony of the Z-10ME attack helicopter into Pakistan Army Aviation.

At Corps Headquarters, the COAS was briefed on the formation’s combat readiness and ongoing training activities. Expressing full satisfaction over the high state of preparedness, the Army Chief reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.

During an interactive session with members of academia and civil society, the COAS emphasized the critical importance of national unity, civil-military synergy, and a whole-of-nation approach to counter emerging hybrid threats. He stressed the need for societal cohesion to confront challenges effectively in a rapidly changing security environment.

The highlight of the visit was the induction ceremony of the Z-10ME attack helicopter—a state-of-the-art, all-weather combat platform capable of conducting precision strike operations both day and night. Equipped with advanced radar and electronic warfare suites, the Z-10ME significantly enhances Pakistan Army’s operational capabilities against both aerial and ground threats.

Later, at the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges, the COAS witnessed an impressive firepower demonstration by the newly inducted helicopters. The display showcased the Z-10ME’s advanced targeting and strike precision, symbolizing a major leap forward in the modernization of Army Aviation and its integrated battlefield response capabilities.

While interacting with troops, Field Marshal Munir lauded their exceptional morale, professionalism, and combat proficiency. He commended the successful demonstration of combined arms tactics, reinforcing the Army’s resolve to maintain a decisive edge in the evolving character of warfare.

Earlier upon his arrival, the COAS was warmly received by the Corps Commander Multan.
