Islamabad, Pakistan on Sunday expressed concern over the evolving situation in Venezuela, emphasizing the need for restraint and de-escalation to resolve the ongoing crisis.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan said it attaches great importance to the well-being of the Venezuelan people and called for adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter and international law in addressing the situation.
The Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi underscored that all outstanding issues should be resolved through peaceful means, stressing the importance of dialogue and respect for international norms.
The statement also said that Pakistan is closely monitoring developments in Venezuela and remains engaged in efforts to ensure the safety and security of members of the Pakistani community residing in the country.
Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to supporting peaceful solutions and maintaining diplomatic engagement as the situation continues to unfold.
