Pakistan Navy has commenced its major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2026 in Karachi to test and enhance the force’s combat readiness against conventional and emerging maritime threats.

The opening briefing of the exercise was presided over by the Chief of the Naval Staff, in the presence of senior officers from Pakistan’s Armed Forces.

The exercise brings together a wide range of naval and joint-service capabilities, including ships, submarines, aircraft, unmanned systems, Marines, Special Forces, and elements from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force.

Earlier, the Chief of the Naval Staff visited Pakistan Navy Fleet units and reviewed ongoing operational activities. Addressing officers and personnel, he emphasized that the evolving security environment requires uncompromising operational readiness, stronger tri-service integration, adaptability and effectiveness across both physical and information domains.

SEASPARK-2026 is focused on rehearsing Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) by integrating maritime, air, land, cyber and space-enabled capabilities. The exercise also incorporates Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) aimed at securing an advantage in the information battlespace while maintaining close coordination with kinetic operations at sea.

The exercise is intended to validate Pakistan Navy’s preparedness to respond effectively to a diverse range of maritime and multi-domain challenges.
