RAWALPINDI — In a major demonstration of its operational readiness and precision strike capability, the Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live weapon firing of the indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an anti-ship weapon system designed for long-range maritime engagements.

According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile accurately executed its designated mission during the test, validating the Navy’s ability to detect, track, and neutralize maritime threats at extended ranges with high precision.

The test was described as a significant milestone in enhancing Pakistan’s maritime defence capabilities, reflecting improved multi-domain coordination and strengthening the country’s conventional strike posture.
Officials stated that the successful firing underscores Pakistan Navy’s commitment to maintaining credible deterrence and ensuring the protection of national maritime interests and sovereign waters.

The statement added that the President, Prime Minister, Chief of Defence Forces, and Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the development and successful testing of the system, acknowledging it as an important achievement in indigenous defence technology.

The exercise is being viewed as part of ongoing efforts to modernize Pakistan’s naval warfare capabilities and enhance readiness in a rapidly evolving regional security environment.
