ISLAMABAD, Pakistan has strongly condemned the drone attacks on the East-West Pipeline in the Riyadh and Madinah regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which caused damage to the pipeline and resulted in injuries to civilians.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued on Saturday, described the attacks as “reprehensible” and expressed Pakistan’s firm opposition to the targeting of civilian infrastructure.

Pakistan said the attacks constituted a flagrant violation of international law and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Office warned that attacks against civilian infrastructure posed a serious threat to peace, security and stability in the region, stressing the need to prevent actions that could further undermine regional security.

Pakistan reaffirmed its unwavering support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and reiterated its solidarity with the Saudi leadership, government and brotherly people.

The Foreign Office further stated that Pakistan had been making earnest efforts to promote lasting peace and stability in the region and would continue to do so.
