Rawalpindi, During a security operation, a total of 16 Afghan nationals, including a prominent Afghan commander, were arrested.
The operation was carried out late at night in the Morgah area by police and law enforcement agencies.
Among those arrested was Commander Abdul Malik, who had served as a commander during the Ashraf Ghani government in Afghanistan.
Following the collapse of Ashraf Ghani’s regime, Abdul Malik had disappeared from Afghanistan.
The operation also led to the arrest of 16 other Afghan nationals, all of whom were residing illegally in Pakistan.
The arrested individuals, including Commander Abdul Malik, were transferred to the Haji Camp.
None of the detainees had valid documents for their stay in Pakistan.
The authorities plan to deport all arrested individuals back to Afghanistan.
