Karachi, SSU SWAT team commandos headed by DSP Haji Abdul Razzaq immediately reached the spot as soon as the information about the terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office was received.

DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Dr. Maqsood Ahmed also reached Karachi Police Office as the incident was reported and led the operation on his own. SP SSU Azhar also took part in the operation.

SSU Commandos, Rangers and Pakistan Army personnel and the terrorists exchanged heavy fire and as a result of the joint operation, the police office building was cleared.

During the operation, all three terrorists were killed. The terrorists were wearing suicide jackets who used hand grenades along with modern weapons.

In total, four people including a Rangers sub-inspector, police personal, lift operator and sweeper embraced martyrdom during the attack.

19 Police and Rangers personnel including DSP SWAT SSU Haji Abdul Razzaq and SSU Commando Rizwan were injured.

On this occasion, DIG Security Dr. Maqsood Ahmed said that today the SSU commandos, Rangers and the soldiers of the Pakistan Army once again foiled the terrorist attack. He further said that the Sindh Police, particularly SSU Commandos are fully capable to deal with emergency situation.
