Islamabad: Leader of Opposition in National Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed said that international community must intervene to resolve Kashmir issue as per UNO resolutions. He also said that abrogating constitutional status of Kashmir is great injustice and international community should take cognizant to the plight of Kashmiri people. He also said that Pakistan and UK enjoys cordial relations based upon mutual interests and commonality of views.He expressed these views during his meeting with UK Acting High Commissioner in Pakistan Ms.Zoe Ware in Parliament House Islamabad today.
Leader of Opposition Raja Riaz Ahmed said that Pakistan values high its ties with UK. He also said that contesting elections is right of every political party and no political party should be banned.
Furthermore, he also strongly condemned the 9th May vandalism and demanded that all those involved in anti state activities must be brought to justice. He also said that constitution ensures all fundamental rights including Right of Freedom of Speech. He also briefed about process of choosing next caretaker Prime Minister.
UK Acting High Commissioner in Pakistan Ms Zoe Ware said that UK and Pakistan enjoys cordial relations based upon trade. She also expressed that UK stance on Kashmir is unchanged and Participating in G -20 in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir was to promote tourism. She said that UK would continue to support Pakistan in its endeavours for socio-economic development.
