Karachi, The first Pakistan Navy Hangor-class submarine, PNS/M Hangor, has arrived at Karachi and was formally welcomed with full naval honours.
The submarine received a traditional reception upon arrival, attended by senior Pakistan Navy officers, families of crew members, and naval personnel. Cadets of the Pakistan Naval Academy presented a ceremonial salute, while Pakistan Navy Z9EC helicopters performed a fly-past in honour of the vessel.
A formal reception ceremony was held at the Pakistan Navy Dockyard, where senior leadership of the Navy participated.
The submarine is equipped with advanced combat systems, modern sensors, Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology, and enhanced stealth features, significantly improving Pakistan Navy’s underwater warfare capabilities.
Officials said the arrival of PNS/M Hangor marks an important milestone in the modernization of the Pakistan Navy and reflects growing defence cooperation between Pakistan and China.
