Cross-border shelling from Afghanistan once again targeted civilian populations in areas adjacent to Angoor Adda in South Waziristan.

According to local sources, a mortar shell fired from across the border struck the residence of Karim Khan and Rehmatullah, injuring five individuals, including four children and one woman. The injured children are aged 13, 10, 8, and 3 years.

All the wounded were immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Wana for medical treatment.
Residents of the area expressed deep grief and concern over the incident, condemning the repeated targeting of civilians. Locals pointed out that just a few days earlier, three people were also injured in the same area due to unprovoked firing from the Afghan side.

Security sources stated that Afghan Taliban and affiliated militant elements have been involved in such attacks, allegedly targeting civilian populations.
In response, Pakistan Army forces carried out retaliatory action, targeting the firing positions with both light and heavy weapons. Following the response, the attackers reportedly abandoned their positions and fled.

The situation in the border region remains tense, with residents urging stronger measures to ensure their safety.
