Islamabad- The Supreme Court of Pakistan has significantly enhanced its judicial cooperation with both China and Türkiye, marking a new phase of practical collaboration and institutional development. This initiative reflects the judiciary’s broader vision of building a modern, technology-driven, and globally connected legal system.
With China, the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Supreme People’s Court is actively underway.
The partnership is fostering collaboration in judicial training, technology integration, and capacity building.
Pakistani judicial delegations have already participated in key conferences and training programs in China, while IT officials from the Supreme Court and High Courts are also set to visit to study China’s digital judicial systems and the use of artificial intelligence.
These efforts aim to further strengthen technological adoption in Pakistan’s judicial reforms.

Similarly, judicial cooperation with Türkiye has been reinforced through an MoU with its Constitutional Court, expanding into a strategic partnership. The collaboration is opening new avenues for judicial exchanges, training, and technological integration. Turkish experts have also participated in an artificial intelligence symposium held in Pakistan, while Pakistani delegations have reviewed Türkiye’s advanced judicial and administrative systems. A new delegation of eight prominent district judges, nominated on merit from various High Courts, is expected to visit Türkiye soon.
A key feature of these initiatives is the inclusive approach toward capacity building. Judges from remote regions—including Gwadar, Lakki Marwat, Ghotki, Bannu, Quetta, and Mithi—are being given opportunities to participate in international forums and training programs. Additionally, strong representation of women judges in global engagements is being ensured.
The Supreme Court has termed both MoUs as active and result-oriented, emphasizing that such international cooperation is playing a vital role in modernizing Pakistan’s justice system and strengthening institutional capacity through global best practices.
