Islamabad, Iranian Interior Minister Brigadier General Eskandar Momeni held a telephone conversation with Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, to express deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and property caused by the recent floods in Pakistan.
During the call, Minister Momeni conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and expressed sympathy with the affected communities. “The Iranian government and people stand shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in this difficult time,” he said.
Minister Momeni further assured that Iran is ready to provide all possible assistance to support flood relief and rehabilitation efforts across Pakistan. “Iran is prepared to extend full support to the flood-affected people of Pakistan,” he emphasized.
In addition to discussing the humanitarian situation, the two ministers also reviewed bilateral matters and preparations for the upcoming official visit of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to Pakistan, scheduled for July 26, 2025.
Minister Momeni expressed appreciation for Minister Naqvi’s recent visit to Iran and highlighted the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation in security and regional matters.
Minister Naqvi welcomed President Pezeshkian’s upcoming visit, stating, “We look forward to receiving the Iranian President in Islamabad. His visit will further strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and collaboration between our two nations.”
