Pakistan and Türkiye Reaffirm Support for Gaza, Vow to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Istanbul — Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, met with Türkiye’s Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers Meeting on the situation in Gaza held in Istanbul.

During the meeting, Senator Dar commended Türkiye for convening the ministerial gathering at a critical juncture, describing it as a timely and united show of solidarity with the Palestinian people. He noted that the conference had reaffirmed the collective commitment of the Muslim world to the just cause of Palestine and to ensuring implementation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.

Both foreign ministers underlined the urgency of fully implementing the Gaza Peace Agreement — emphasizing the need for a permanent ceasefire, the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from occupied Palestinian territories, and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid. They also stressed the importance of supporting reconstruction efforts in Gaza to alleviate the suffering of its people.

The two sides reviewed the steady progress in Pakistan–Türkiye relations, which they described as a “multifaceted and fraternal partnership.” The leaders discussed opportunities to expand cooperation across various sectors and exchanged views on key regional and international developments.

Concluding the meeting, both ministers reaffirmed their shared resolve to further deepen and diversify the enduring brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, building on their historic bond and mutual trust.
